You’ll need
- Bingo cards1 per player, used up
- Pens or markers1 per player, reusable
- Small prize1–3 total, used up (host's own, never cash)
How to play
- Hand each guest a card and a pen as they sit down.
- Play it one of two ways: either the host reads words from the caller sheet at random, or guests mark a square whenever the parent-to-be unwraps a gift that matches it.
- Guests cross off each square that comes up.
- The first guest to complete a full line in any direction calls out "Bingo" and reads their squares back for checking.
- Keep playing for a second prize with four corners or a full card if time allows.
Who wins
First guest with a checked line (or full card in the longer round).
Variations
Gift bingo with blank cards: guests fill the 24 squares with gifts they expect to see. Picture bingo for younger guests. Tambola-style numbered card for a godh bharai crowd. Virtual: share cards as links and call words on video.
In the app
Party Lineup makes bingo cards from a ready word list, every card different, and calls the words for you. Guests can also play on their phones.
