Terms of Use
Effective October 18, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Smart Apps LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company (“we”, “us”), which runs the Party Lineup app and partylineup.com. By using Party Lineup you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Short version: the games are written with the help of AI. You, the host, are responsible for your guests’ safety, and you play at your own risk. The games are for fun, never for money. Plans renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple account, and refunds go through Apple. Don’t copy the games library. Disputes are handled individually, not by class action.
1. What Party Lineup does
Party Lineup helps you choose party games, plan supplies, make printables such as tambola tickets and bingo cards, and run games, including games guests play on their own phones through our website.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 to use the app and to buy a plan. Guests of any age may join a phone game a host invites them to; children should do so with a parent’s permission.
3. Content written with the help of AI
Game ideas, rules, supplies, safety notes, word lists and printables were written with the help of artificial intelligence and reviewed by us. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your guests. Read each game before you play it and adapt or skip it as needed.
4. Safety: you are responsible
You decide which games to play and how. As the host, you are solely responsible for the safety of your event and your guests, including supervising children, checking for allergies, choosing a safe space, and keeping choking hazards, water, heat, flames and thrown or swung objects safe. Safety notes in the app are a starting point, not a full safety check or professional advice. You play at your own risk.
5. For fun, not gambling
All games are for entertainment. You must not use Party Lineup, its printables or its phone games for gambling, betting, paid entry or cash prizes. Any prizes are your own and are your responsibility.
6. Plans and payment
- Party Lineup has a free plan and paid plans (Plus and Pro, each monthly or yearly). What each includes is described in the app when you buy.
- Paid plans are bought through Apple’s App Store and billed by Apple to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase. The price is shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy.
- Plans renew automatically at the same price and period until cancelled. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or from Your plan in the app). Cancelling stops future renewals; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- There is no free trial; the free plan is the way to try Party Lineup.
- Prices may change. Apple notifies subscribers of price increases and asks for consent where its rules require.
- Free and Plus are for personal use. Using Party Lineup for paid events or for clients (for example, as a party planner or venue) requires Pro.
7. Refunds
Apple processes all payments, so we can’t issue refunds directly. Request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple decides under its own policies. If something isn’t working, please email us first at support@partylineup.com.
8. Our content and your license
The app, the games library, word lists, designs and website are owned by Smart Apps LLC and protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app and to print and use printables for your own events (and, on Pro, for events you run for clients). You may not copy, scrape, republish, sell or redistribute the games library, word lists or printables as a collection or product, or use them to build a competing service.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use scripts, bots or automated tools to access the app, the website or our server;
- get around plan limits, including by modifying the app or creating extra installs;
- use phone games to harass anyone, or use offensive or impersonating display names or game titles;
- reverse engineer or resell Party Lineup, except as the law allows;
- use Party Lineup in a way that is illegal or harms the service or other people.
We may limit, suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms, and remove phone games that do.
10. Phone games and guests
When you start a phone game, you invite guests to our website with a code. You are responsible for who you invite and for the game title you choose. Phone games are temporary: codes work for up to 24 hours and their data is then deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t promise that every phone will connect, for example without a good internet connection.
11. Links and affiliate disclosure
Party Lineup may link to other sites, such as Amazon, for supplies. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We aren’t responsible for other sites’ products, prices or content.
12. Names and trademarks
Party Lineup is a trademark of Smart Apps LLC. Games use traditional names or names of our own; any product or brand mentioned belongs to its owner, and Party Lineup isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by them. If you believe content infringes your rights, email us and we’ll review it promptly.
13. Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove games and features, and we may stop offering Party Lineup. If we stop offering a paid plan, its auto-renewal will end.
14. Disclaimer
Party Lineup is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, safety and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the games, safety notes or printables are accurate, complete, safe for any particular group, or error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Smart Apps LLC and its members are not liable for any personal injury, illness, allergic reaction, property damage or other loss arising from playing a game, following a rule or safety note, using a printable or hosting an event, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to Party Lineup is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Party Lineup in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full, and nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and hold harmless Smart Apps LLC from claims by your guests or others arising from events you host or from your breach of these terms.
17. Disputes
Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, email support@partylineup.com describing the problem. We’ll try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
Arbitration. If we can’t resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute relating to Party Lineup or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
No class actions. Claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding.
Opting out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with “Arbitration opt-out” in the subject.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act. If you live in the UK, the EU or another country whose consumer laws give you rights that can’t be waived, those rights still apply, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
18. Apple App Store terms
If you got Party Lineup from Apple’s App Store:
- These terms are between you and Smart Apps LLC, not Apple. Smart Apps LLC, not Apple, is responsible for Party Lineup and its content.
- Your license is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Party Lineup.
- If Party Lineup fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Party Lineup.
- Smart Apps LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Party Lineup, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or listed on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and, for material changes, ask you to agree again in the app. Changes don’t apply to disputes that arose before the change.
